Pennard Orchard tipis return to Hay on Wye in 2012 for the 25th anniversary of the superb annual literature and arts festival. Situated in a beautiful old cider orchard, just off the Llanigon Road, and only five minutes walk from the main entrance, it is the perfect place to stay for the Hay Festival.
We’ve secure parking and the local shuttle bus near the festival entrance, offers easy access into the centre of Hay for pubs and restaurants.
Hay Festival
Each tipi comes fully furnished with a proper bed and mattress (not an air mattress), white cotton linen from Cabbages & Roses, duvet, pillows and quilts. Our tipis are specially fitted with inner linings for extra warmth; and specially designed rain hats to ensure a dry night sleep. Finished with rugs, tables and lanterns each tipi provides a homely and comfortable night under canvas.
Guests have access to hot showers, clean loos and free parking just a few minutes walk from the festival. A helpful and friendly crew will be on hand day and night to attend to our guests' every need.
Hay Festival
The Orchard Bar & Kitchen will be open to guests throughout the Hay festival, so please feel free to invite your friends over for lunch in the beautiful old cider orchard or along for a candlelit dinner. We do advise you book in advance on 07826 081 835.

Prices are based on two people sharing a fully furnished 18ft tipi with proper beds, white cotton linen, duvets and quilts. It also includes free parking.
Weekdays (Mon - Thurs): £120 per night
Weekends (Fri - Sun): £165 per night
Weekend deal (Fri - Sun): £470 for 3 nights
Jubilee Bank Holiday deal: £550 for 4 nights
(Fri 1st - Mon 4th June inclusive)
Extra single beds for children or adults are £30 each per night. Each tipi can sleep up to a maximum of 4 people.
