My wife Alex and I run Pennard Orchard with the support of the rest of my family, in a meadow near my childhood home at Pennard House.
Pennard House, the farm and the orchards have been in our family for nearly 300 years. We grew up with rolling Somerset hills, woodland and the sweet smell of cider apples in the air. And of course the added benefit of having the world’s greatest music festival on our doorstep...
I have been fortunate enough to attend Glastonbury for the past four decades, through rain and shine. I’ve witnessed this magical town appear in the fields year after year with travellers, musicians, performers and artists descending on our little corner of Somerset. As a family we’ve grown up with Glastonbury and collectively celebrate it every year.
We set up Pennard Orchard in 2009. Aiming to offer discerning festival goers a place to relax in peace and comfort before getting back into the action. Today, my father Martin continues successfully growing cider apples on our farm. My brother Harry and his wife Georgina run Pennard House as a boutique wedding and events venue. So whether it’s for the ultimate festival experience or an event at Pennard, we hope you can enjoy our little piece of Somerset in style and comfort.
